Up to 1TB 5400 rpm drives, or 512 GB for a solid stateThe 2014 models all come with SSD Drives you can choose between 128, 256 and 512 GB Will this mac be able to run libraries like this? Or will I need something more powerful. I don't really know anything about how certain software runs on various machines, so I was hoping someone here could help me. My main concern were the big, orchestral libraries I mentioned above. Other plugins include various Native instruments softwares, and big synths like Cyclop and Zebra. I run East west Hollywood strings, Cine Samples CineBrass, and also CineStrings. What I need to know however, is weather this machine is powerful enough for my needs. On Ebay, you can get a couple of hundred off that model if you go second hand, and considering they're damn expensive, that's what I'll likely be doing. Reason being, at college I use allot of library's and plugins that simply no longer support my machine due to it's Power PC processors.Īs much as I love that machine and will still use it (10 years old and still going like a pro), I really need something with an Intel processor to do my college assignments from home. The mac I currently own is a quad core G5, and it's time to upgrade. I'm a student, and so use the Mac Pro's at college. Up to 1TB 5400 rpm drives, or 512 GB for a solid state The one I've focused on, and am asking about, is the latest 2014 13 inch model. I'm in the market for a Mac Book pro for my music.
